2018 Vision Board and Bucket List

Happy New(ish) Year! It's still January, so it counts. I am just coming off a terrible bout of bronchitis, which seems to be my MO every year at this time. Since I've spent days holed up binge-watching Handmaids Tale & eating soup for every meal, I am fully ready to get back to business. And thus, I give you my much-delayed post about all of the things I am planning and hopeful for this coming year. Read on for my 2018 vision board and bucket list!

18 Things on my Bucket List for 2018

I'm keeping it to 18, because it sounds good and because it's a little more than one thing a month, which seems doable. I don't love making a few resolutions all at once only to abandon them in two weeks time. Making a larger list for the year (I love lists!) helps me view my goals and dreams as possible, probable, and fun instead of stressful and overwhelming. In no particular order:

  1. Complete the DC Rock 'n' Roll Half.
  2. Have a baby/start researching adoption.
  3. Reach my goal weight.
  4. Hone my personal style.
  5. Travel to 5 new places.
  6. Take more photos.
  7. Purchase my first DSLR.
  8. Make part-time wages from blogging.
  9. Pay off my student loan debt.
  10. Update our kitchen.
  11. Finish decor in bedrooms & bathroom.
  12. Blog at least once a week.
  13. Write 2 new songs & record old music.
  14. Find an organization to volunteer my time and money to on a regular basis.
  15. Go on a date night with Steve once a week.
  16. Deepen my prayer life through a particular devotion.
  17. Read 20 new books.
  18. Learn one new skill.

I wrote all of these goals in the stripe notebook pictured, and then I wrote spaces to record when I achieve any of the goals above. Example: The 20 books I read this year are: (and then I numbered a list to 20), I completed my half-marathon on ______ (and left a space to record the date.)I plan to carry the other black mini-notebook with me for whenever blog or instagram inspiration strikes.
