I was fortunate enough to receive this box of Burberry’s new Liquid Lip Velvet & a few other items from their makeup line, complimentary from Influenster. In exchange I am offering my honest review of the products. I have also included some A1 selfie outtakes at the end of this post & links to all the makeup used for my look, so get ready.
Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet & Lip Definer
Pictured above are the two shades I received. Left is Bright Plum No. 49 & right is Fawn No. 5 (a brownish nude). I love both of them, but Bright Plum is my favorite. It’s definitely not a color I could see myself using everyday, but it’s gorgeous for a special occasion. Fawn is beautiful, but too brown for my taste & felt a little harsh for my skin tone. It looked good in person but not so much in photos. Therefore I have not included a pic wearing this color, because it just makes me look like I have poop lips, so you’re welcome for that visual. A great every day alternative for me would probably be the Fawn Rose No. 9 . Gorgie 5000 (gross, who am I?)
I was also sent a Lip Definer in Bright Plum Here are a few photos using both the liner & liquid lip in Bright Plum:
- Great formula, much less drying than other liquid lips I’ve tried (like Stila, NYX or the Kylie Lip Kit)
- Rich pigment.
- Lots of colors for various skin tones/desired looks.
- Fades without cracking, so it leaves a nice stain.
- Doesn’t smudge all over my face after eating.
- Does transfer & fade throughout the day.
- Is $34, so not necessarily budget friendly, but worth it if you find an everyday shade.

Fresh Glow Highlighting Luminous Pen
This was my favorite FAV-O-RITE part of this complimentary kit. I am not a huge fan of highlight because I have combo skin that tends to shinnne like the top of the Chrysler building all on its own, but I love this little miracle stick. It gives a perfectly fresh glow & is easy to apply. I applied a small amount to my forehead, nose, chin, above my cheekbones, cupids bow & to the inner corners of my eye for a little shimmer.
I kept the rest of my face pretty simple because this lip is so dang bold for me & I have linked all other products used, below. TBH this Bright Plum makes me feel like a boss while wearing it even though the lower half of this photo is just me in my pajamas. #liveauthentic

Here are some sweet outtakes you should not miss, because this is how the color is really going to look on you in real life or when you aren’t ready for the self timer to go off. Enjoy:
So there you have it. Me in all my honesty & glory about this lipstick.
