We are getting thisclose to summer, so I thought I’d take a second and share the things that motivate me to get off the couch and into the gym. They are, in no particular order:
- Absolutely nothing
- because I hate the gym
- it is my personal hell.
JK JK. But really, if I don’t have a solid workout partner, fun music, and a post-workout smoothie as motivation I know I’ll basically die in my bed of obesity and doughnuts. Today I’m sharing my playlist and fave smoothie in case you need extra motivation from someone who hates the gym as much as you do. Enjoy!

2-4 cups of spinach
1 medium banana
handful of frozen mango
handful frozen pineapple
tbsp ground flaxseed
optional: 1-2 tbsp. preferred protein powder (I use Bob’s Red Mill Vanilla Protein Powder)
