Life Lately: First Days of Summer + A Spotify Playlist for You

Hiiiiii!!!Apologies for my two-month hiatus. Life has been nutty. Here's what we've been up to recently, photos from my camera roll, and a summer Spotify playlist for you at the end.

Life Lately

• Steve finished his first year of nursing school in May and his summer Micro class in July (praise!). He just started again with Medical Terminology, but fingers crossed it will be easier to manage. We have been taking evening trips to the beach after work and it is SO nice for us. Typically by the end of the summer we haven't even stepped foot in the sand, so we're off to a good start. Here are a few shots from one of our evening beach sessions, which may or may not include the album cover for Steve's future mixtape.• Molly came to visit from Nashville for ten days in June & it was nice Hav-sisters reunion. Until we all started stealing each other's clothes and fighting over literally, absolutely nothing important.• We celebrated Shannen turning 21!! It was obviously flamingo themed. This isn't obvious because it kind of started as a joke but then actually ended up cute??? Anyway. Our family is weird. We spent the day decorating my fam's house while Shannen was in class, and then went to dinner in Cape May. We stayed out past midnight at The Princeton, and now I'm good for the next ten years. And yes, the lopsided 'F' in the decor photos is killing me. Thanks for noticing.• I just wrapped my 9th year of Vacation Bible School (favorite week of the year for my job)!! I am joyful and exhausted at the same time. Grateful for a fairly slow rest of the summer for youth group.

Fourth of July Weekend

Steve's fam came to visit for the weekend, and it was a blast. I will never get sick of saying I hit the in-law jackpot. It's not surprising, being that Steve is the greatest person on Planet Earth (no bias), but I am continually grateful for every single one of them. We had so much fun playing on the beach, going out to dinner, and watching the fireworks together. As much as Ocean City is a challenge in the winter, the summers are unbeatable. Here are a few of my favorite pics from their visit:

Summer Plans + Playlist

As for the rest of the summer I am planning to RELAX, work, read, be outside, swim in the ocean, and take more photos and videos. That is my entire agenda. I want this to be the summer of SLOW, which will honestly be a challenge for me, because lol I love to overschedule my life.Besides relaxing, Steve and I are doing a day trip to NYC to see John Crist for my birthday mid-August, and I am super excited. I'm hoping to stop at this coffee shop, this flagship store, and here for a treat while we are in the city, so fingers crossed. And! At the end of August I am reuniting with 5 of my best gfs for a girl's weekend in Savannah. If you have any must-see, must-eat places I'd love to hear them.ps-- I made this Summer Sun Playlist if you need something fun to bop to. It's a VERY random mix of my old and new faves, with a few NSFW songs. You've been warned.xo,Katie
