7 Quick Takes- Favorite Products for Styling My Hair
Happy Friday, y'all! Thanks for all of the love on Steve's & my success story being featured on Catholic Match! Today I'm linking up with Kelly for 7 Quick Takes, all about muh hair. I get lots of questions, so I thought I'd share a few of my favorite things I'm currently using for both curly & straight hairstyles!

Bumble & Bumble Pret-a-Powder
Found here. I actually just purchased this recently, but I LOVEEE it. I was using this dry shampoo before, which I still love, but the spray just runs out so fast I thought I would try a powder. And now I'm obsessed. It smells amazing, is a great dry shampoo, and gives volume/texture which eliminates having to use a texturizing spray. It also travels well! A + + + +
Living Proof Styling Cream
Found here.I'm sure I've talked about this before, probably because I use it so much. It is my #1 fave styling cream. I apply before I heat style, use it to smooth flyaways afterward, and I even use it on my natural curls to tame frizz in between wash days. It also smells amazing, so, 10/10 would recommend.
Ouidad Whipped Curls
Found here. This is something I use sparingly, but often. Every time I style my natural curls I put a little on the ends of my damp hair, and then I add my current styling product & go! It is fab, but heavy, so go easy!
Bounce Curl Light Creme Gel
Found here.Currently my favorite curly hair gel, but only if used with the aforementioned Ouidad stuff, or some kind of leave-in. Otherwise it makes my hair feel too dry/crunchy. If you have naturally curly hair like me, definitely make sure you leave a little moisture in your hair before using this. I put it on my wet hair, and either let it dry overnight through plopping, or I diffuse it a little and then let it air dry.
Rusk Wired
Found here. This is a product I have used probably since high school. My aunt showed it to me, and I'm still in love to this day. It is a cream, but it is strong enough to be your only styling product without leaving the crunchy gel cast. I usually run some throughout damp hair, and then use my fingers to define my curls before I let it air dry. I've talked more in-depth about my hair styling process in a previous post here.
My Favorite Straightener
Found here. I try to only heat style for special occasions (like when I put on real clothes vs. sweatpants) so I do own a straightener & curling iron. This one is my favorite, and Amazon has a few left under $50! I used to treat myself to a blowout, and still do every now & again, but investing in the tools and teaching myself to create a similar look has saved me a ton of money.
My Favorite Curling Iron
Found here. This is another styling tool I've talked about before, probably because I've been using the same one for almost 10 years. I love it, and so do all my sisters. It's also under $30, so praise be.For all the photos in this post I used the Living Proof cream, then straightened my hair, curled the ends, added some of the Bumble & Bumble for texture & volume, and smoothed flyaways with the cream again.I hope this is helpful for anyone looking to save a few bucks on a blowout!
