Glossier Favorites and a Discount for You
Shop with me here for 10% off your entire order! ICYMI I love all things Glossier and I joined their rep program in March because of this very love and devotion. It takes my makeup routine time down to 10 minutes, helps me feel more confident in minimal makeup, and I love using it anytime I'm looking for a less done-up look. Today I'm going to run through everything I've purchased from Glossier and what I love about it. I'll also link my Rep Page so you can shop with me for 10% off your first order, and free shipping with the purchase of two items. Link here Rep VideoPart of the application process includes filming a video for my page, and I do not know how Youtubers do it, because this little video took FOOOOREEVERR.I compiled the outtakes since making the 90-second work of art was actually the most annoying thing alive. Of course I thought it would be so easy and of course I messed up a million times. If you haven't seen this gem yet on instagram, here you go:[video ]If you'd like to see the video that made the cut you can check out my Glossier rep page here. Please ignore the still frame of me looking like a drunk sailor selling the next best QVC product. I had no say in the matter. Ok, here is every Glossier item I've purchased and my reviews:
Milky Jelly Cleanser
This is my absolute favorite thing. I love how soft it makes my skin feel & it removes my stubborn mascara and makeup without the added step of makeup remover. MJC was my first Glossier purchase back in March, and I just reordered recently. I'm not fully finished the bottle but almost, and that is with daily use and sometimes twice daily use. It is $18, but I have spent that much and more on other cleansers and it basically comes out to $6 a month
"which is the price of a latte blah blah"-- everyone's favorite thing to say when they are guilting you into buying something.
But I'm not guilting you, I'm just telling you I love it and trying to justify cost per use for you. I love using cost per use to justify things, especially to Steve when another box from Nordstrom hits the front step.
Super Glow
This is my favorite of the supers and I love it because I spend a LOT of time in front of screens. Like a lot. Like, I manage multiple instagram accounts for work a lot. I put it on before moisturizer, after cleansing in the am and it gives my skin a little extra brightness.
Perfecting Skin Tint
I usually put on some form of SPF after the Super Glow, and currently I'm using Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream with SPF and occasionally Glossier's Invisible Shield. Perfecting Skin Tint is my summer go-to. I like that it is basically a tinted moisturizer that covers imperfections without covering my whole face or feeling heavy. It's super hydrating on my skin and doesn't highlight any of my dry areas. Pairing it with a good concealer/coverup also helps prevent me from using a heavier foundation. I use Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer . For events or special occasions when I need better coverage I use real foundation, but otherwise this stuff is perfect for everyday wear. I use the shade Medium. Here is a blurry BUT UNFILTERED photo wearing perfecting skin tint, boy brow in blonde, cloud paint in puff & generation g in cake.
Balm Dotcom
I have been more prone to major allergy attacks in recent months, which is stupid. On Sunday I sneezed from 10am - 7pm and that is not an exaggeration. The ONLY THING that saves me from having a chapped nose/lips when this happens is putting balm dotcom all over before I go to bed. I randomly tried it last month and woke up the next day without the gross chapped skin (TMI, I know). But now I swear by it. I also use it on my lips as a balm/gloss combo when I don't feel like wearing something colorful.
Boy Brow
This is perfect if you do not have time/patience/desire to rock the instagram brow. On days when I am doing a very natural/minimal makeup look I will use it alone, otherwise I'll use it as a gel on top of my Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Brow Wiz' pencil. I wear the Boy Brow in blonde and the Anastasia pencil in taupe.
Cloud Paint
Cloud paint gives you that just-pinched-by-grandma glow. Or just-finished-hot-yoga-and-didn't-throw-up glow, or just-got-caught-staring-at-the-love-of-your-life-who-happens-to-be-a-stranger glow. You get it. I've never heard more "your makeup looks nice. Really natural. Did you do something different?" compliments than when I wear this stuff. Not that we are all fishers of compliments in need of admiration, but if someone feels compelled enough to voice their positive thoughts on my face I'll take it.
Generation G
Basically what I said above about cloud paint and how natural it looks, except for it goes on your lips. It's gives a matted look without using a heavy matte lipstick, and it's really compact which I love. One time I lost the cap under my car and I crawled in a dress, knees on concrete and all, to retrieve it because I was not about to throw this bb away.OK last unfiltered photo: Wearing perfecting skin tint, generation g in cake, boy brow in blonde, cloud paint in puff. Next on my radar to try: Haloscope & Stretch Concealer. In the interest of transparency, being a rep means I do make a really small commission on items ordered. However, I would not be part of the program if I didn't love it this much. I appreciate your support of Hey Katie by shopping through my link, and if you haven't ordered from Glossier before you will receive 10% off your first order & always free shipping with the purchase of two items. Hope y'all find something you love!Let me know if there is something you'd want me to review for you before purchasing. or if you've tried something not mentioned in this post.
