Planning Kate's New Orleans Bachelorette Party with Willow Wynn Co.

EEEEEE I cannot contain my excitement for Kate's December wedding!!! Back in February Kate asked if I would be her MOH and I joyfully obliged. Kate is one of the very first friends I made at Florida State (Shoutout to CSU for the intro) and she is like a sister to me. I am so excited and honored to stand beside her as she marries such an awesome guy. I immediately got to work planning her Bachelorette, enlisting the help of a local letterer for the invitations. Monica of Willow Wynn Lettering and Design did such an amazing job and I'm sharing the finished product with you today!

Planning Process

All the wedding festivities will be taking place in one of my favorite cities, New Orleans. I thought a themed bachelorette would be fun, and so the Roaring 20s idea came to mind. I know it's been done before but it felt like the perfect fit, and Kate was on board so away we went with planning.Steve and I will be staying at The Catahoula Hotel during our visit, and I think their Piscobar or rooftop bar will be the perfect place to start with cocktails before dinner. Kate chose her favorite sushi restaurant for our dinner destination, and then we will continue the party at Pat O's.Pause for TBT of the time we went to Pat O's during my first time visiting Kate in NOLA. Memories.ANYWAYI contacted Monica via her instagram, and asked if she would be interested in helping me with this project, and THANK THE LORD SHE SAID YES. We spent many months emailing back and forth (because I am actually a psycho who emailed her 9 months in advance with the request, lol) and finally connected over the summer to discuss details. We met at a local coffee shop, and she brought so many amazing samples and ideas with her I was overwhelmed in the best way. SO MANY OPTIONS.Side note: if she is not the coolest woman in existence I don't know who is. Monica is the kind of person that brings energy and excitement into the room with her, and it overflows making you feel just as magnetic by association. Do you know what I mean? She is the effortless kind of cool, artsy person that I have always wanted to be, I type, as I drip lukewarm coffee down my face. All that is to say, I knew right away that I trusted her vision and I was excited to see what she would create. We spent about ten minutes talking through logistics and the rest of them time spilling our life stories out over iced Americanos. It's fine.As I suspected, Monica went above and beyond what I initially imagined. Her lettering is gorgeous, the design of the invite is so unique, and I loved that she included a mini New Orleans postcard. Also, she drew the flapper girl sticker by hand! Just amazing. OK, here are photos! The first one I snagged from Monica, and the rest I took from a few samples she sent.

Invitation Photos

I am so grateful for the beauty of these invites, and so glad I chose Monica and her amazing artistry. She's the best.I have asked all the ladies attending to dress in 20s attire, and I am currently checking out this website for a dress. Do y'all have a favorite of one of these four? Dress A, Dress B, Dress C or Dress D. Or maybe a different one entirely? IDK. Maybe let me know in the comments or on my insta post.I will be documenting more of our travels this fall including my birthday trip to Vegas with Steve, and Kate's wedding, so be sure to subscribe or follow along on instagram for updates. It's starting to feel like fall FINALLY!! Have the best weekend!
