Easy Vegan Peppermint Hot Cocoa
Snow Day! Happy Saturday, friends! There isn't much snow here in Ocean City, but I am fully embracing the day anyway. In the spirit of watching The Holiday in your pjs with the Christmas lights glowing in the background, I'm sharing my favorite easy vegan hot cocoa recipe. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
Only thing missing from this photo is vanilla extract & sprinkles. I normally use cacao, but this Hershey's powder is what I had on hand and I definitely love how dark the chocolate taste is!
Directions:
I left this as a graphic so you can easily pin it or save it! Note: the second time I made this I blended everything in a blender first and then heated it over the stove, and it made my life infinitely easier & less messy. Steve loves this stuff too, and I always think that praise from carnivores is of the highest honor. If you use a regular 8oz. serving + whipped cream and use stevia instead of agave, this whole thing only has 6g of sugar. Since I am trying to be as sugar free as possible until Christmas, I am happy to know that I can still indulge in a treat without feeling guilty.Let me know if you whip some together! Drop me your favorite recipe in the comments or over on my insta photo. I put mine in my new favorite mug from Blessed is She -- find it here in the BIS shop. Also, I wrote a guest blog for Blessed is She last week, all about Holiday home decor on a budget. If you haven't seen it yet, you can check it out here.Josie & I are wishing you a warm, relaxing weekend.xo,K.
